It was so crowded in Citta Alta on a Sunday that it was hard to walk. Beautiful, worth seeing, but not nearly as culturally compelling as the city of Brescia. We parked along the Viale delle Mure and walked about one-half mile upward, to avoid...More

A great place to have a walk and lose yourself in the old venetian streets! There are also amazing places where to have typical traditional food if you wish to taste. In this place italian beauty and traditional culture are joint together.

Shops, cafes, and streets all create such a nice Italian old town scene. Great views of the city, a relaxing vibe, and beautiful architecture are all worth the trip up the funiculare.

Views from new town to old town are beautiful. Well preserved old town, remarkable places are around "old square", there are not significant monuments, Saint Mary's church interior was for me the best. Nice walk. Views to Lombardy plains from city wall gardens are nice.

It is off the main tourist routes in Italy but worth visiting as it brings a lot of interesting observations on architecture and interior evolving over centuries but still preserving the ambiance and shape of medieval/renaissance town. Important also for the reason of many outstanding...More

A very nice old town. Don't hesitate to go out of main street plenty of tourists. The better is to have an accommodation in Alta Bergamo to benefit from the charm of the city.

I would ask a hotel if you could pay to leave your bag with them or try the station.
