This garden is such a gem. The planting is wonderful. We come every year and never fail to be enchanted. Sitting on the freshly cut grass, watching the sunlight play on the water of the lake is just wonderful.

Well worth visiting. Great views and gardens, including lots of different style of Japanese Maples. Only €5-6 per person, which isn't bad.

This was a lovely place to spend the morning. I'm glad we went here before Villa Monastero and Villa Carlotta as they are both more stunning in terms of views and exotic plants but this is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours and the lake views are lovely.

These gardens are spectacular and are kept in pristine condition. A short walk along a tree lined promenade from Bellagio. A little disappointing that you cannot see inside the villa but the gardens are rich and varied with a wonderful backdrop of the lake.

We went to 3 different gardens (also Villa Monastero and VillaCarlotta) on our visit to Lake Como and this was my husbands favourite as it was more natural and less formal. Slightly late for best of rhododendrons but the fresh leaves on the very varied trees were lovely. We went in by the gate furthest from town as had been... More

If you want to walk along the waterfront you have to go through this garden. It was nice but nothing outstanding as gardens go. You cannot go inside the house.

I don't believe the guidebooks give the Giardini di Villa Melzi proper credit. The grounds are pristine and the specimen trees are splendid. The entrance has a quaint cave which is shortly followed a picturesque koi pond surrounded by Japanese maples. Antique sculptures dot the landscapes and the views are simply stunning. There are multiple levels of paths and the... More

You cannot deny this is a beautiful (if manicured) location and one of the most visited in Lake Como region If you want to explore more, hike back over the ridge and avoid the crowds and be treated to some amazing views
