Begun in 1876, this scenic square features a monument called "Weaver," which commemorates the 25th anniversary of Rome as a capital of the state, plus other important structures including the Teatro Adriano and Chiesa Valdese, built in a curious mix of Romanesque-German and Byzantine-nouveau.

Lots of souvenir shops, a bakery with excellent cannoli, surrounding a cathedral. Pretty enough, but it's like a thousand other piazzas in a hundred other Italian towns.

Open and airy piazza with lots of dining and snacking opportunities and an open air market with vendors offering local food specialties and trinkets.

In just a short walk from this Piazza, there are many great things to see in the Como village. It is a beautiful and small town, with great shops and great food.

The square itself is quintessential Italy, and a coffee here is almost mandatory. What made this square more special to me, was the high quality shops near by.

Spent many evenings in Piazzo Cavour imbibing and visiting with family and friends. Some good bars and simple food around the edges with hotels intermixed. Glimpses of the lake and evening entertainment in the middle. One of the few taxi ranks is close by.

Pretty square in the heart of Lake Como. Nice shops and restaurants and a great place to rest and relax while shopping.

Plenty of seating and a very large Piazza, just a passing through space really with views of Lake Como and a few cafés on one side.

Where the ferries arrive & although well improved & maintained, a bit sterile & really more of a thoroughfare to the old town
