Duomo di Como is a beautiful church located in the heart of Como. It is easily identifiable from almost anywhere in town by its tall light green dome. The town of Como offers a relaxed pace, but the Duomo offers a moment of respite, nonetheless. Be sure to see the exterior at night, as it is also lit up beautifully.

Although I've been in this church before, I just find it too over the top for such a small place as Como. This is a cathedral that you would find in a very large town and it was just too much in a small place like Como. The inside is extremely extravagant and over the top with regard to worshipping... Awesome cathedral. Be sure to buy your ticket early, online is the easiest way. Make sure to prepare for waiting in a line to get inside. Definitely lots to explore here and paying extra for a tour of the rooftop is spectacular! Very interesting tidbits, and great views!

Peaceful spot in lovely Como. The building is constructed of a lovely stone and is situated in a lovely peaceful piazza. Free to enter and a great spot to get some shade during the summer months!

Stunning church in Como, the size will amaze you. Very worthwhile visit. Beautiful surrounds. Incredible to think that this church was built to these proportions for the size of the community

Although much smaller than Milan's Duomo, this one is equally as beautiful (and free to enter). Went there in mid January while a layer of snow was everywhere. Really a memorable sight and the place to see when in Como.
