Very old Romanesque church remarkable in its austerity and simplicity. Such a lovely tranquil oasis away from the crowds of Sirmione center. Surprisingly, the old frescoes of the 14th century did not lose their colors, the altar and the walls retained their authenticity over the...More

Only 5 minutes walk uphill from our hotel in Sirmione, this place couldn’t be more different. Peaceful, no crowds, no noise, wonderful Byzantine frescoes. Perfect

This is a lovely place to escape the crowds of Sirmione. An ancient church with a real sense of peace.

A very old small but beautiful church. Very quiet setting and well worth a visit to soak in the peacefulness.

We came across this lovely little church quite by accident. The frescoes are amazing, a little piece of tranquility in a bustling place.

Sadly, very poor quality frescos and in poor condition. Not really worth a visit. It is a very small church. It is free to go in.

This beautiful little church was in walking distance of our hotel, it was so peaceful and has a lovely atmosphere, it is also nice to sit on one of the benches outside and enjoy the sun.

This little church is a haven of tranquility from the crowds further down in the town. In a beautiful setting with ancient murals inside it also has a memorial to the fallen soldiers of Italy in the Second World War. Well worth a visit and...More

This is stunning. It's badly signposted. Walk up via Vitoria emmanuele and then past the little electric trains and keep going till you see the sign to branch off to the left. It is a fifteen minute walk from centre of town and worth every...More
