If you climb all the way to the top, the pictures are beautiful. There are different views such as the lake and different houses in the background painted colourfully.

We visited the castle fairly early in the day so there was no queue at all. We also bought a duo ticket to go and visit the Grotte as well, which made it slightly cheaper. I don't like heights but because it was quiet we...More

Not much to look at after queuing for 30 minutes. Joint ticket with the Grotte di Catullo. Looking round the dock area would have been interesting but that was closed for repair work. No visitor circuit in evidence - a lot of doubling back.

We visited here during our holiday. It has great views from the roof to take pictures. Not much else inside.

Travelled from Verona by train then bus to the Castle and well worth the effort. One of the most majestic views from the top of the Castle. A few stairs to climb but well worth the climb. Fantastic little town as well.

This Della Scala castle has been restored with more sensitivity than most of the others. There is good access to towers etc. enabling visitors to easily get some of the excellent views of Sirmione. My main criticism, and this applies to many monuments in this...More

There is an entrance ticket to the archaeological site. The castle is in the centre of the village, you can't miss it. There are toilet facilities too.

Take a look at the working hours for the castle on their web pages... I went to Scalinger Castle in the summer, and on Sunday it was working only till 13h.
