This is a very scenic shopping arcade in the centre of Milan (right next to the Duomo). It is traditional (as the title says) to place your heel on the bull and spin round for luck :-)

This is a very nice old looking place, the only thing I didn't like is that it is very crowded and that they have nets hanging on the big entrances against birds, it's just sad plus they can get hurt, furthermore it's very beautiful and nice

Beautiful building with a good selection of shops and cafes. Restaurants are slightly more expensive but the location is lovely. Well worth popping in for a look at the roof too.

This is a delightful place to visit. The shops are very elegant and expensive. The building is splendid. However it is a fashion destination. Well worth a visit.

Just next to the Duomo you'd rather enter the gallery and admire it's majestic beauty. It would be so difficult though to take pics for the amount of people around!

It only takes a few minutes to cross the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (it conveniently connects the Piazza del Duomo with the Piazza della Scala), but every time we walked through it we were impressed by the beautiful and timeless architecture.

this place is scenic, historical and romantic all at the same time. Just walking through is a pleasure. I did no real shopping, but i have no doubt asians and arabs will love getting something from the branded goods offered here.

We visited the gallery and even had a drink at one of the floor's terraces. We sat and relaxed after a long morning walk. You can enjoy all the tourists passing through and all the locals annoyed by them. We went to test the bull myth (3 turns in one foot on it's family jewels), but we couldn't, as a... More

I have two words for the Galleria. First word, EXPENSIVE. I said a prayer and lit a candle at the Duomo before visiting the Galleria in hopes of not spending too much, but we all know about the best made plans, right? LOL Lots of no-so-expensive things to be had as well, but all the really expensive stuff is so... More

I wouldn't imagine a shopping center could be that beautiful (actually amazing!). The floor, the ceiling, the decoration, the shops... It is hard to decide where to look at :) It is located at the Duomo Center, so there is no way you can miss it, do not worry :) For the people who want to shop, there are many... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
