For sheer belle époque splendor, this extravagant 19th-century glass-topped, barrel-vaulted tunnel serves as a lively, noisy and colorful shopping mall, teeming with life and inviting you to people-watching from the tables that spill from the Galleria's many bars and restaurants.

This is a wonderful building to look at, with mosaic floors, classic facades and a soaring gallery, but it is populated by very expensive designer shops - so for looking only!

We happened to be here on Republic Day. We were greeted by a military band playing songs! Pretty nice. There's some good window shopping here plus some good gelato.

It's pretty and has shops. Walk through it, doesn't cost anything. Lots of shops (not interesting to me) but the architecture is neat.

Beautiful gallery and overwhelming to walk across. You'll find a statue of Leonardo Da Vinci on the other side. I was lucky to even find the Leonardo Museum which housed his designs and scale models of them. In the Galleria, find the 'Bull's Balls'. Dig...More

This mall has a amazing architecture and is the house for many upscale designer shops. The glass ceiling is gorgeous but is very crowded during the summer months.

The very central shopping center consists of only high end mainstream stores, and has a very nice atmosphere.

Beautiful building just off Piazza Duomo. High end shopping if you are into that, or just lovely architecture to admire.

It's a pretty area to shop, if you just happened to miss the multiple Prada shops. Seriously though, it is not a bad place to walk around and look through high end stores. Right off the Duomo it has great ease of access

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square
is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon

to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria
Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high
quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch
expedition into a royal experience. Head to the
rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the

Was there in September and everything was open. This is a large center with some very high end shops, so I would doubt any would close.

I don't know. We went there as part of a city tour run by the Milan Visitor Centre. You might want to contact them. Their tours were fantastic. Best tour I have ever done. Cheers Linda
