it is just next to the Duomo, in Milan everything is close. it is something different even though it is full with tourists. theres a legend taht says you have to turn three times on your heel inside the gallery and because of that there is an actual hole in the ground.

Had a quick visit here as it's set right next to the Duomo. It's a beautiful building, huge in fact with an impressive glass roof. There are many high end shops situated inside along with a few restaurants, didn't try any of these so can't say whether any good. It is said that you need to find the Bull on... More

Beautiful architecture, great place to shop, it was everything I expected from Milan. Situated right next to the Duomo so you can see both in one day, breathtakingly beautiful.

The galleria roof and structure between the buildings are extraordinary. Both beautiful and interesting.

Anytime I have a walk in the center the Galleria reminds me of the old dimension of Milan. It's like walking back in the time line.

This is one of the best places in Milan for shopping and dining in. My husband and I went there to enjoy the food and to buy chocolates and some perfumes. To our surprise there were many freebies that the shopping Mall offered to the customers. We were lucky to be there that day.

This is a nice place to shop with a covered open air center that leads to many nice shops. There are many people who are walking around selling things in an aggressive manner and they or their friends will "bump" you. Keep your wallet out of your back pocket or anything valuable that would be easy to grab when you... More

A must if in Milan. There is lots to see but this Galleria is by far historic. It has it's roots back as far as King Victor Emanuel, with architecture pleasing to the eye.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
