I had never seen a church like this before. It seems to be 2 churches side by side with the same façade. Inside there are 2 separate aisles and what appears to be an altar at the head of each aisle. I don't know how it must work. I presume services are given at separate times in the different aisles. Originally it was one church built in the Middle Ages and a convent was built alongside it in the 15th century. It's rather weird and unique.…

Bianca Maria Visconti (as in illegitimate daughter of Fillippo Maria Visconti of the noble Visconti family and Duke of Milan before Francesco Sforza, the fella that she married), was fed up with her husband’s affairs, had the second mirror entry built to be a public testament to the couple’s love and fidelity. She was an intelligent and imaginative lady with a lot of political proficiency, as evidenced by her savvy scheme of twin facades enclosing ‘twin hearts and one church’ to remind the Milanese of her sacred union with her adulterous husband, Duke of Milan, who impregnated her with eight children, which we assume were his.…

the area around via moscova is tourist free. The church with its unusal double nave is visited by the locals for services. We managed to attend a Sunday evening service. Astonishingly full, but just local people

This church was built in the 15th century in the Gothic style, a rare example of double-facaded church since it is formed by two identical facades. Worth a look if you happen by.
