I liked this place because I love nature but I think they could keep it a little better because it is a very original location in Milan

After visiting the Brera art gallery, I stumbled across the associated botanic garden at the back and side. The garden has some interesting collections which were being used by a school group when I was there. I was impressed by the huge Gingko trees.

It's always nice to find a haven of greenery within a city and even during February people were here enjoying a walk or a chat in the leafy surroundings. The sun was out and being sheltered from the wind it was warm just sitting around...More

To access this botanic garden, one has to walk through the Palazzo di Brera all the way to its back and then turn right. It's a lovely garden, although it did not look especially grand in the middle of winter. Entrance is free.

During October there wasn't much to see. Noticeably old, which is a good thing, and well managed garden with many nice plants and flowers. Worth of visiting in the spring and summer time.

Yes it was hidden away in more or less the Centre of Milan. Worth hunting it out, it is free entry so nothing to pay

The botanic garden of Brera has a very long history but now is a great place to wander around and learn about their plants. They have quite a variety and most of them are grouped with explanatory signs in Italian and English. Access is either...More

Small garden tucked away and quite hard to find. Limited opening hours - would advise you check before you go. We went on the morning and spent about an hour there. Go when the weather's dry as there is no shelter. Everything is labelled well...More

Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an
excellent mix between history and modernity, where
tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty
reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca
(galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and
Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior
design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of
the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to
