Brera is now very artsy & trendy, yet still has a nice feel to it when you walk around the streets. It's not considered a tourist area, but it is one of the "go to" places people book accomodations, eat & shop. Central Milan's Brera...More

Stayed at an apartment in Brera after reading that it's a good place to be. There are plenty of sidewalk restaurants and the neighborhood is quaint and ideal for walking. The Metro serves the neighborhood with at least three stations. There are some shopping streets...More

Once you’ve exhausted the big name fashion shops of the Quadrilatero d’Oro, stroll the quiet, narrow streets around Via Brera, filled with everything from galleries to feather quills for calligraphy and great deals on second-hand Louboutins. Much more fun (and less expensive!)

Nice place to walk or have lunch, drink or coffee. Cute little streets. About 15 minutes walk from duomo. Worth the walk.

My AirBnB was in Brera and I loved it. Walking the streets window shopping at Italian boutiques like Angelo Caputti and enjoying the local restaurants was a highlight of my Milan visit. Highly recommend this area especially for couples.

We stayed in dreary Navigli, so we found Brera a lot more exciting with a touch of bohemian style. There's a famous art school here so there's usually students hanging round the bars. The small cobble stone streets hark back to more ancient times and...More

Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an
excellent mix between history and modernity, where
tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty
reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca
(galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and
Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior
design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of
the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to

Brera is not that big. You can find the center of activity along via Fiori Chiari but every street near that one has some appeal for people watching and food. Go 2-3 streets in any direction and there is more. Via Madonnina... More
