Different church to find

Near the museum you find quiet and warm atmosphere. Nice paintings and glass works. Not so visited maybe but when looking churches its not a bad thing.

Cant find the activity, so post it under the church. The crypt opened after 50 years and entrance fee, an eye popping €10/-!!! It is not a joke, inside you see absolutely nothing. Leonardo is not there, only thing is that he visited there. A holy shroud replica is there too and nothing else.

Dear thanks for your review. We are very sorry you didn't appreciate the visit to the Crypt. This is the most ancient underground Church of Milan and Leonardo da Vinci drawing a map - a copy is in the Crypt - of Milan where Crypt was located as the original center of the city; this means the high importance of... We have received an email says the event is cancelled. We request to refund the money. No answer. Phone number is not available. People try to make money from their great culture. Shameless.

We went there to visit the crypt, but it was not what we expected. It was expensive for a small crypt (9 Eur at least) and even the audio guide didn't say much and it hardly had any connection with Leonardo.

Below the church there is a crypt that has been opened recently after 50 years been off public. Althought nothing much to see as frescos on the wall are almost entirely ruined, the palce has a special mystical vibe. I really loved it. Enterance was 10 Euro.

Although I can add nothing to what other reviewers have written, I will add my voice of praise because there are only two other reviews in English. The church is situated in an attractive square beside the exit door of the Ambrosiana Museum and is rewarding to visit.

It is just around the corner from the wonderful Gran Duca di York hotel so we passed it most days and after the first visit went inside every time that time allowed. Lovely little church with superb life size tableaux of the Last Supper and Christ's trial. The nearest I have ever felt to 'being there'. Only wish there was... More

go inside this unassuming building, even the first part is lovely, but only lovely. Keep walking forward and at either side see the most amazing lifelike carvings/sculptures of Jesus washing the disciples feet, and Jesus on trial. truly am amazing piece of work. Go!

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
