Welcome to the Museum of the Cathedral, a symbol of Milan all over the world. The Museum's 26 exhibition rooms house the works of art originally from both the Duomo and from the historic storerooms of Veneranda Fabbrica, now organised chronologically to illustrate all the construction stages of the Cathedral, from its foundation in 1386 right through to the 20th century.

We love history and especially museums so we were so happy to come across this one. Not sure if it was open or there five years ago when we first visited Milan. Spent an enjoyable few hours here.

Since my family and I visited the Duomo, we thought why not tour the museum. We had some time before our dinner reservations. Interesting artifacts and architecture.

The Cathedral itself is not the nicest we have seen, but the roof is a must! Amazing architecture. Plan ahead. line for tickets may be long. The Gallery next to it with brand name stores is also very nice!

We weren't sure of what to expect but we were pleased to have made the effort. Special note: you can buy a combo Museum, Duome, and Rooftop ticket here and AVOID the long, slow line at the Duomo.

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square
is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon

to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria
Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high
quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch
expedition into a royal experience. Head to the
rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the

Hi, we are going to Milan this summer...I was wondering, did you go in the Bapistery & museum? Was it worth it?

The museum gave a great opportunity to see many of the decorative works of the Duomo from really close up, and to get a sense of how that marvellous building was constructed. Don't miss it. The Baptistery was also worth a... More
