I particularly enjoy going to the Manzoni theatre, this elegant entertainment house, offers a broad programme, that can please each and every different customer. Classic pieces, cabaret, prose, and much more; really wonderful performers, and at easy reach. On some Sunday evenings the Manzoni theatre hosts the Derby Cabaret show, a place where young talents can emerge. Not only. More... More

Wonderfully designed modernist theatre with plush red velvet and an old style tea room to grab a drink or coffee before the show. Its hidden in an alley way of posh rugs that will also blow your mind and worth getting to the theatre early so you can enjoy window shopping and gapping at the most beautifully designed and crafted... Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
