This building is purely for taking photos of the hanging sculptures on it's outside walls. There are eight figurines that front the building in a very narrow street but worthing viewing as it's just a stones throw from Piazza della scala.

The eight "giants" are male sculptures. Leone Leoni made this house for himself and added this caryatides to it. It is not far from La Scala in a side street.

We stumbled upon this magnificent site by chance, while wandering around La Scala. Amazing looking architecture, depicting giants who represent defeted nations/tribes. Very extravagant.

This time around, we managed to take a better look at the wonderful statues that sort of hold the entire house on their backs. They are absolutely amazing, having survived the centuries, and they literally look as if they are taken from a movie set.

The most striking element of this beautiful house are the 8 sculptures that seem to carry the entire house on their back. They are beautifully (and quite eerily) sculptured and date back to the mid 1560's. The house is open to the public and is...More

I saw this as part of the free walking tours and because be could explain it all I found it very interesting. It's looks amazing but with out hearing about why the statues are made this way you don't fully appreciate it.

It's home to the most exclusive and prestigious gentlemens club of the city, and it is a splendid building. Who walks in here, you can bet on it, is important for the city of Milan

Home and studio of Leone Leoni, a troublesome artist of the 1500's. Now a private residence guarded by giant statues. Impressive.
