- MrThomas1981Ipswich, United Kingdom955 contributionsGreat little museum with fantastic interactive experiencesThis is by far and away one of the best corporate museums there is - If you have ever done something like Guinness in Dublin or Heineken in Amsterdam, you will know that they can be overly self-indulgent and an opportunity to push quite a lot of marketing material with very little substance. This is not true of Lavazza - you are essentially entering the group's global HQ (and there are plenty of security staff around to remind you of this). The museum starts with a bit of Lavazza family history, then takes you through the coffee making process, shares some highlights of Lavazza such as their coffee which was sent to the space station and finishes looking at their marketing over the years. You are given a coffee cup on a lanyard at the start. You can use this to view interactive exhibits. The big ones can be operated by more than one person so unless it's really busy you won't miss out. You can also use them to take selfies with mascots. These are all emailed to you later at no charge which is great. The only downside is you can't keep the cup! You finish off with a tasting of one of their coffees before heading out. The whole this is way better and lasts longer than you think. Well worth the visit and the money.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten January 31, 2024
- jamesmarsden20238 contributionsGreat couple of hours for coffee loversWe loved the Lavazza museum. Great idea to have the little cups as your key to the exhibits. Informative way to spend an hour or two with a little tasting at the end. Well worth your time if you’re in Turin.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten April 5, 2024
- FoodangeManchester, United Kingdom4,797 contributionsOne More Cup of CoffeeWho knew coffee could be so interesting? We're Illy aficionados ourselves but loved this museum, just round the corner from our apartment. Ground floor was the expected story of the coffee supply chain, from plantation to roasting, including how important the Lavazza family were in its spread of popularity. Upstairs was very different, more space-age, showcasing adverts. You could also take your own photo from the ceiling, though the quality was poor. Throughout we used a very clever coffee cup to access interactive stuff if we wanted more information on anything. Something for everyone here, even kids were entranced.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 15, 2024
- Lyn DPetaling Jaya, Malaysia306 contributionsAll about LavAzza coffeeIt was an insightful, educational and an interactive experience. We were provided with a small cup which is used to activate the different displays. You can also save your favourite photo inside it before e-mailing it to yourself at the end of your visit. Best experience would be the coffee experience that allows you to sample the different types of coffee drinks. There's a museum shop with an interesting range of merchandise to buy as a personal souvenir or as gifts. Allow at least 1.5 hours for a non-rushed experience.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten September 24, 2024

An interesting experience. The graphics and displays and "interactive" features are creative, in an Epcot Center sort of way. I enjoyed most the early story of the Lavazza business in Turin, and would have loved more images and atmosphere, and history of coffee production in that very formative time in espresso history. I'm very interested in coffee production, sourcing, roasting, and flavor profiling, so was disappointed in the flashy scattershot interactive gimickery related to that. Instead of "interactive" games that invite you to design 'your own' coffee (without actually tasting anything), and kaleidoscopic images of cupping and roasting, I would have much preferred actual information about the dynamics of Lavazza's sourcing, taste analysis, and blending over the years and how they work it currently, given the many different trends in coffee cultivation and economics. I definitely left with more questions than any understandings gained. A creatively-constructed experience with flashes of interest and spectacle, and some nice design elements, overall

We picked Museo Lavazza not only because we like coffee but it also seemed like a fun and a bit alternative activity when spending a long weekend in Turin. We didn't have super high expectation and certainly the museum did not disappoint! It has a modern and interactive exposition which is engaging and evokes a child-like attitude where you want to try all activates and learn more while progressing through the Lavazza journey. A super cute idea to use coffee cups as 'key cards' to access interactive bits along the way! you get to learn a lot about coffee production, from plantations, through harvesting to production and marketing of final products but essentially it gives a very interesting insight into Italian culture and growing a small family business into a luxurious world-renowned brand. Coffee degustation included, also plenty of great photo opportunities. Friendly staff and good organisation. Loved this place, 2 hours well spent, highly recommended!

Truly exquisite place, rich in history and emotions. The museum allows you to relive the history of the Lavazza family, lets you know everything about coffee and from the plant to the latest product. I found the museum really enjoyable and very interesting, also you are provided with an interactive cup that you can use during the visit for interactive content. At the end of the museum you have the opportunity to taste a good coffee (included in the ticket price)
What about, really interesting and attention to detail!!! Recommendation!

If you are interested in Lavazza or coffee, or unusual informative museum, it’s really worth visiting.
Museum rooms tells about history of Lavazza’s family, stages of company development, different events connected with Lavazza. It also tells about coffee cultivations and productions, types of coffee from different countries, types of roasting and other things connected with coffee.
The museum is largely interactive and it will be really interesting for adults and for kids as well.
We spend a bit more then hour there and enjoyed a lot!!

To visit some museums in Turin these days we bought the Turin-Piedmont card and booked the visit to this museum too. Original and very cute, with numerous statues depicting the iconic Carmencita and Caballero. This museum tells the story of the birth of the Lavazza brand company, of how the coffee bean is born, grows and is transformed. On the upper floor some sets of the historic advertisements are reproduced. At the end of the tour a very kind girl prepared for us an excellent version of the non-alcoholic "bicirin" with edible wafer, hot chocolate and cappuccino foam, truly delicious! We absolutely recommend the visit to everyone!

Fun and interactive museum. Learned about the history of the Lavazza family, how coffee is made and got a great overview of the art interests this brand has. Got to taste an espresso in the end. Perfect to spend a few hours hiding from the heat.

The museum is nice, interesting but could offer a little more.
It's small, calmly, very calmly you can visit it in a couple of hours maximum.
It is very fascinating to relive the history of a famous Italian brand like Lavazza, to learn about the entire process that leads to the production of a coffee and to take some photos upstairs. The museum also offers the possibility of receiving by email the photos taken during the tour at the various stations used for this purpose. Too bad we only received 3 out of the 6 made.
At the end of the route you are offered a coffee but the best thing would have been to have a tasting of various types of coffee.
The initiative for which you have the opportunity to enter the museum for free if you have a ticket for the ATP finals is excellent.
Very friendly and courteous staff.

Turin is a splendid city and has many monuments, buildings, museums and attractions. Among these there is also a very particular museum that reflects the life and history of the Italians.
The Lavazza Museum in Turin is an immersive experience into coffee culture and its rituals, a multi-sensory journey that retraces the history of the company and the coffee supply chain. It is quite large and is divided into five themed areas defined by sounds, images and aromas: Casa Lavazza, The Fabbrica, The Piazza, The Atelier, The Universe.
It's very interesting.
Very beautiful, with attention to every detail. You can traces the history of how the Lavazza coffee brand was born, marvelous and perfect examples of vintage coffee machines, many objects that many visitors have seen over the years in advertising spots. These commercials are screened again in an area of the museum,: a dive into the past that should not be missed.
At the end of the visit you can enjoy an excellent coffee.
Entrance is not free, it costs a few euros.

Small-mid size great museum for anyone interested in coffee or solely Lavazza, having an interesting and fun interactive route with quite a lot experiences along the museum. The bar at the end is well thought. Definitely recommended. Staff is so welcoming and nearly everyone speaks English. Also, children can have a good time if they are able to read and explore the museum on their own.
