Nothing particularly fancy about these water fountains, but they are a landmark of Turin and cannot be found anywhere else in the world! So, if you are visiting Turin and happen to pass by a 'Turet' grab your phone and snap a selfie!!! And share it with your friends and family all over the world :-)

I'm not impressed and It's over rated. It the symbol of Turin. Not much to do. Not much to say about it. It's just simply water fountain with Taurus head.

All around Turin you can spot these very iconic bottle green drinking water fountains, featuring the head of a bull. The water pours out of its mouth, the water is fine to drink and to refill your water bottle.

Most recognizable symbol of Turin. Fresh water available for everyone who is thirsty. Support the local group "I love Turet" if you want to keep these green bulls alive.

In Italy most people only drink bottle water. However if you go in some small towns, some passing by older ladies would tell you that you should try some fountain water that is free and drinkable. I have been having it and I'm still alive. I Toretti is a special one. I have see regular faucets, little sculpture but a... More

The toretti are water fountains shaped like bull heads which deliver free fresh water all day long. This is a great service for anyone walking around the city needing some refreshment and they are very nice to look at .

On our visit in April we had 30-32 degrees Celsius, which quite unusual for this time of the year. But the small bull-heads, the toretti1s you find almost on all the squares and there is fresh water. Great.

..characteristically greed with the head of a bull, i Toretti (little bulls) with be a refreshing pit stop, short of sipping a granita at a local bar... ubiquitous, they used to be a common source of refreshment.. they have become an institution, in a city where it's almost easier to sip a glass of Arneis than to drink a glass... Well this is the only attraction of the entire city visible almost everyway, all the fountains of Turin unlike the common Italian cities have the distinction of having the head of a bull from where the water flows, of course, has been included this detail to customize the city with its own symbol. Uniqueness and art together.
