The Basilica di Santa Giustina in Padua, Italy is a beautiful cathedral. We did not go inside. We were on a tight schedule.

Was really disappointed when we got here. Thought for sure with such a big facade there would be something amazing inside. Obviously a working church, not a lot to see inside. I liked the outside evangelist statues though!

This is quite a large complex but I liked the little chapels best. My favourite was the beautiful and peaceful Opilione chapel, or Sanctuary of Prosdocimus (on the right, towards the back). You're not allowed to enter the chapel itself, but even so you can...More

Great church with many arts and very interesting history. If you need quiet place to contemplate it is good spot.

I enjoy the “simplicity” of this basilica. Unlike others, the ceilings and floors and much more simple. Each section contains beautiful art which is all over Italy. A pleasant surprise was the tomb of St. John the evangelist. Also buried here is St. Matthias who...More

This church is filled with wonderful paintings and other art works. The alter has beautiful carved choir stalls and the abbey courtyard is full of lovely gardens.

it so nice inside, quite plane and not full of paintings like in austria, but more quiet and more noble, its a place for thinking about deep staff. Cool

I made my way to the Basilica di Santa Giiustina, the second most important pilgrimage site in Padova after the Basilica di San Antonio and reportedly the second-largest church in the world. It was indeed huge, but the ceiling and arches in the immense nave...More

Very similar in the architectural structure of the nearby San Francesco church, Santa Giustina isn't nearly as ornate or as stunningly beautiful inside, but is well worth seeing. The artwork and side chapels here are all very impressive and in many ways, the bareness of...More

Great roof and exterior shots. Inside is white and has a Calvinism feel to it. Church isn't as swamped with tourist like the other basilica.
