Well worth the €3 entrance to this small building to see the frescos of various scenes from the life of Jesus. The scene in the dome is particularly good. Audio guides are available but we just enjoyed looking!

Having read a number of reviews on TA, there appears to be some confusion under this listing. The baptistery (Battistero) is a seperate building from the Duomo (Cathedral), the Cathedral is somewhat drab, the Baptistery (smaller, round building next door) is utterly beguiling, covered in beautiful frescos. It's 3 euros to get in, and was the second best thing we... More

Large cathedral, quiet and peaceful - unadorned but with space to be silent and reflective. Interesting modern sculpture inside too.

The cathedral's nearly zen interior is in sharp contrast to the small but super ornate, baptistry. It is only 3 Euros to visit and worth every cent. They said no photos, but the man told me as long as no flash it is fine. The place is floor to ceiling frescoes... it is just staggering. Really, it is a must... More

Far aside to access than the scrounging and well worth the small entrance fee. This is a single room covered for to ceiling and ceiling with wonderful frescoes. There is a coin operated recorded guide and n various Lang ages and ncluinclusive English.

For years under restoration and cleaning, the Baptistry of the Padua Cathedral is a masterpiece of wall-to-wall frescoes by the renowned artist Menabuoi. Open all day, with an inexpensive fee, it is must-see location next to the Duomo.

Stayed in Padua for 7 nights and wish we would have stayed longer. Padua is a wonderful city rich in culture and beauty. The Battistero del Duomo may not be as elegant as the Duomo in Milano but it is rich in history and a feeling of warmth and consolation for anyone who visits it.

Really enjoyed the frescoes, we spent around 30 minutes looking at them all a wonderful experience and well worth the visit a steal for the EUR 4 entry fee

Definitely worth taking time to see the baptistery despite irritating amateurs set up for viewing ... bad lighting and no guide to describe what you are seeing ...

We thought that nothing could compare to the Capella degli Scrovegni, but here was another jewel in Padova! Far easier to go to, much cheaper and also very beautiful!
