Lovely walk along the river after walking through the canals in the city. Peaceful and quite even on a Wednesday morning. Green and tidy, we really enjoyed the sunshine in this beautiful city on an October day.

The walkway/park along the river is just a wonderful setting for a walk or better a walk with gelato!

We went with the bikes provided by the hotel Ca' del Galletto, it goes along the Sila river, it is a beautiful place. There were many baby ducks, swans and fish.

Treviso is situated on the bank of the Sile river; this river cases that a maze of waterways is running trough Treviso. This presents an additional treat to the visitor of Treviso. You can walk and walk and walk along picturesque waterways, enjoying one striking view after another. And the chance that you are engulfed by tourist groups as in Venice is negligible. Start at a bridge over the river Sile and turn to the center again for instance at the Quartiere Latina.

We were at the riverwalk on a sunny Sunday afternoon where everyone local was out enjoying the promenade. It's a great place to relax and walk about. We could not find any cafes en route but luckily had a picnic lunch with us. There were lots of runners, boaters, and cyclists to be seen. Really an enjoyable place to spend an hour or two. The parking was pretty easy too.

Treviso is known to many as the "Città delle Acque" (City of waters) because of its small rivers and canals. After all, it is only a bunch of miles away from Venice.
The Restera however, is not located in the town centre. The walk starts from the centre (Via Alzaia) but takes you East towards the sea. It is a peaceful stroll along the water and the scenario changes a few times. It is delightful.
It takes you to the biggest cinema complex in town (Cinecity) so you can stop there if you like. In the same area you can find a famous local eatery called "Nea" where they mainly serve deep fried snacks along with aperitivo drinks.
However, you can decide to walk further and reach Casale del Sile, another picturesque spot near Treviso.

The walk starts jsut outside the town wall, eastward. You will walk through a narrow railway underpass, then the real walk start in the middle of pristine environment with ducks, swans and moorhens.
Walking some two kilometers will bring you to a former river port, where cereal mills have been converted into apartment.
Nice place for families, workout, cycling.

Along the river, there is a nice walking / cycling path. The scenery is very nice along the major part of it (some industrial buildings here and there).
The only issue is the fact it is not circular, so you cannot walk that long on it if you plan on returning.
We would suggest hitting this walk after lunch, as everything in this town seems to be closed between 12:30 and 15:30.
