The only reason why I am giving this museum three stars is because everything inside is in Italian. The only have some very short explanations in English as you enter each room and that's it. Their archeological collection seems rich (everything is from the Treviso...More

Treviso is a lovely town and seemed to have plenty of visitors, but we were inexplicably alone when we visited. The attendants were all at the front desk, we were asked which rooms we wanted to see first, and then one of them came with...More

OK, the impressionists have been moved to the Bailo, so if you want modern, head over there. Here you'll find frescoes, both those painted in this church (when it was a church) and a dozen+ large panels removed form another church before it was to...More

I recently went to the Impressionism exhibit at the Museo di Santa Caterina, and was enjoyed the variety of quality works on display, including Renoir, Monet, Gauguin and more. There are remnants of the original frescos in this old church can still be seen.

I visited this terrific Museum recently and love its exhibitions of Impressionists. The show was extremely well organized but it was focused on background and influences more than actual presentation of the great work of French/British impressionism. Unfortunately we were not interested in the Escher exhibition and the rest of the exhibits were rather second rate and dreary. I had managed to stagger to the top of a steep staircase and the art works were really not worth the effort. The Titian...More

We were drawn to the museum for the Escher exhibition. Staff were very helpful & we found the displays to be very well presented. Staff were keen for us to ensure we saw all that the museum had on offer (not just Escher), and between...More

Well worth visiting. Went to see the Escher exhibition, which proved a big hit with teenager present! Rather expensive, especially the 'reduced' ticket. Some (most) staff polite and helpful, but apparently no English spoken. We were asked where we were from and when we answered...More

This museum currently hosts an extensive well presented exhibition on the Dutch artist Escher. It also has a small permanent collection. The place is well organized and modern. You can also visit the old Church of Santa Caterina and it's interesting frescoes
