I loved my visit to this art gallery. I'm not an art expert and usually go to see the great masters but I found this modern art gallery both interesting and informative. Finally I am getting some appreciation of abstract art. Also the museum though...More

An oasis of calm in the centre of Venice. An amazing collection amassed by an extraordinary woman, exhibited in what was her home overlooking the grand canal. Light cool and chic. Wish it was my home! A must see place for all art lovers. Lovely...More

Modern art not being my thing, I nonetheless wanted to give the Peggy Guggenheim Collection a look. My conclusion is that modern art's appeal continues to elude me. But I enjoyed the views from the canal-side terrace on a sunny Venice afternoon. In fairness, several...More

I am not a big modern art fan but am now after visiting the Peggy Guggenheim home. Spectacular art and home. The Grand Canal is the homes front yard! Get tickets ahead of time. On-line. We all loved it, even out three teenage girls!

This museum was a lot of fun to visit. There were two temporary exhibits of modern art which were interesting. The museum grounds are lovely and a very pleasant place for cafe or a picnic.

I went on a weekday in June and it was already getting crowded by 11am. Happened upon a brief talk about a painting by one of the staff, which was nice.

Permanrent collection in Peggy Guggenheim, very nice museum, one of the significant art collection (701-704 Dorsoduro) in the country at this museum; the little restaurant is very good; merite a visit.

We recommend visiting this museum. It is quick and easy to visit. There are some pieces of art worth observing. I liked the Picasso pieces the best. There is a terrace where you can stand by the canal and see the boats glide by. This...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob
