Beautiful palazzo surroundings, incredible and well-curated collection of modern art. Extremely effective presentation, and very informative “Peggy Talk” to explain the exhibit.

I love Dali or Pollack or even a good Warhol. To me, they are "classic" modern artists. This collection however is a little more out there. You must love and appreciate modern art if you are going to spend the euro to visit. I saw...More

This incredible collection of modern art is so exciting. The Jackson Pollock room was, for me, a transformative experience. Clean, bright, open spaces show off the art brilliantly.

Do not overlook this museum when in Venice. In its time it was unique as a palazzo. The collection Peggy Guggenheim assembled, particularly of Calder and Ernst are outstanding. Overlooking the Grand Canal, there is nothing like this in Venice.

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob
