I noticed this bar, set back in a small "courtyard", on the way to The Rialto on a very, very hot day. Set back and having some large parasols it provided some respite. It also provided some Guinness. First one was a tad frothy and...More

The owner told us we couldn't be served because we were in a group. I really don't know how they use to go out in Italy but I normally don't go out by my self. I was really really disappointed because they were really rude...More

You will always find an Irish pub and Venice was no exception. Marco was wonderful and the staff were also great. It just happened to be on our corner so it was beautifully located and we were able to make a pitstop very night on...More

Stopped off for a cider here on my trip to Venice. Locals are lovely and bar staff friendly. Special shoutout to Lizzie who is a real credit to the bar!! I had a great time here as a solo traveller.

Great G&T served with a smile and banter. A bit tricky to find if following a map but worth seeking out. Only popped in for one but ended up staying the whole evening. Really great find

Dear custumer, you did right since you drunk spritz and prosecco in all the bacari in Venice, less in a pub since it is well known that in a pub you should drink beer or cocktails! Anyhow what the bartender, that wasn't rude at all, first...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
