We take to the water each time we come! We have seen the lagoon from vaporetto, cruise boats and the train.Watch all the boats coing and going. Enjoy visiting the many islands.

buy a one day travel card and visit Murano, Burano and Torcello in one day on the Vaporetto from Fondamenta Nuove (from here it is the shortest distance to travel on the water), each island different and each one spectacular in their own way .

A boat ride on the lagoon is well worth taking there is lots more to this area than just Venice and the canals we took a ride to Burano a lovely little island with lots of character and colourful house, well worth the trip.

I think the master glass blowing demonstration in one of the factory on the island of Murano is free. But you need to check the time when demonstration is given to the public.
