Our gondola ride was well worth the money with Luca as our guide. We happened upon him in the Jewish Getto area. His boat is well made and had been his fathers. The nice seats were upholstered by his mother. He also looks the part...More

Absolutely loved cruising around Venice in our own private gondola! Although the water taxi is quick and interesting, this is the most iconic way to explore the Venetian canals. This was the most romantic, truly magical experience and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing while our gondolier...More

Let's face it, when in Rome and all that...... you just have to try a gondola ride once if you visit Venice. Firstly, there is no need whatsoever to pre book these, unless you are after a particular journey or accompaniment I.e a bottle of...More

I suspect a gondola ride will be on most people's wish list when visiting Venice. The cost is 80 euro's for a 30 minute ride and the gondola's hold 6 passengers. The prices increase after 20:00hrs. Top tip would be to avoid St Marks square...More

Pease contact Lucky Luca for a gondola ride, he was brilliant! Super value for money. The same price as other gondola rides as it is a fixed rate. 80 Euro for half an hour. However Luca did not stop telling us about the history of...More

Before I get to our recent trip, let me give a little background story: My wife and I were lucky enough to have come to Venice in 2015 and hired a gondolier off the side of the street for a 45 minute trip. The result:...More

Having arrived on speed boat we thought the gondolas wouldn't compare, we were wrong, serene. We paid a little extra for a larger tour, not sure if that was value or not but our guy worked hard and was really pleasant.

You can feel from Gondolier that they are tiredfrom tourists. The only intrested your money. Do not take the service to the Rialto Bridge. EUR 80 for 20 min ride is not worth it.

We came to Venice for a 4 night stay and wanted to experience a gondola ride. We found Luca on TripAdvisor and contacted him by email before we left England to arrange the ride. He was very efficient in replying to my email and giving...More

You have to ride the gondola when in Venice! I booked a private gondola ride for two via Viator and was very pleased with the ease of finding the gondola stand, very close to San Marco! The romantic ride, the singing gondolier and the stunning...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one
of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza

clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops,
orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand
pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring
campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower,
plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and

1st time in Venice in June. We get there in afternoon on the 1st day and was trying to book a gondola ride that is guided but can't find many at all that are guided. Wanted a guided one just because it will be our 1st later afternoon, evening in venice. Should we just book it even though it's not guided? Thanks

The gondola ride does not need any guidance. You can get a map from the hotel n reach the starting point. After that you just enjoy the ride.
