We were disappointed that the gondola shaped pasta was not there; the clerk said they do not make it any more. Some of the pasta we saw there had better pricing at Coop.

Great place to pick up fresh pasta! Prices were extremely reasonable. Get there earlier in the day, since they can and do sell out. And don't forget to pin it, since (like most places in Venice) it can be hard to find again!

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
