Caught the hop on hop off boat for a stop off for a couple of hours to a really relaxing beautiful island visit. An easy walk from the boat wharf to the beach for a swim, walk, lunch or coffee. A nice change from the...More

Took a vaporetto to Lido island for half a day, short walk to beach from water taxi stop, worth the time. Stop by the restaurant across from the water taxi place and have lunch away from all the madness in town, the best antipasto and...More

Crossing over to Lido on the ferry was a fun and easy thing to do. Grabbing my first Italian gelato there to wander down to the beach was delicious. We collected seashells and wrote our names in the sand. Ah fond memories...

Lido provides the best location for a lazy day in the sun, during summer. Easy to reach with public transport - make sure to arrive early over weekends and sunny days to ensure that you get an umbrella.

Lido provides a baech environment for those who want to lay in the sun and enjoy the water, very casual atomsphere and not as bustling as Venice Island.

A short water bus ride from St Marco. Great place to chill out after the hustle a bustle of central Venice. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Lido is completely flat and lots of people there cycle, you can join in if you want...More

The Beach was clean and was great for a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Need to pay for sun beds and parasols but do what the locals do and stop under the bridge walkway for shelter from the sun.

We visited Lido on our last day in Venice. It was a great way to end our trip. Beautiful beach, wonderful restaurant, easy access from Venice. One caveat: even though it's posted that the beach is "free," umbrellas are expensive and they will not allow...More

Yes, as Kitty, said take the Alilaguna Ferry, which goes direct to Lido. If you go to the Alilaguna website, they have a timetable and cost of fares.
