This is a really unusual bridge crossing the Adige. It looks like fortifications. The views from the bridge are good.

A (rebuilt) old bridge of an unusual and impressive design. Worth a walk across (it's free) and a really good photo opportunity. There's a small park with a children's paddling pool on the other side of the river...very welcome on a hot sunny day even...More

A great bridge with fabulous views of the river Adige. Views to the city are great. The bridge allows you to walk on its ramparts although there are no hand rails and it's a long way down from the ramparts if you lose your footing....More

Walking over the Ponte Scaligero we felt like we were on the set for a movie in the Middle Ages instead of the 21st Century! It is fun and very atmospheric with viewing areas looking across the river and of course back to Castelveccchio.

Go here if you want some good photo opportunities with Castelvecchio in the background. Also a good place for people watching.

We parked our car just outside the old town close to a children's playground. It was nice to stroll this old bridge, feeling of medieval times. It has been renovated. Next to the bridge are the castle and museum.
