Finally gave up here and walk the last 3 km to get to the Basilica. The buses in verona are sometimes just not that clear as to where the route are going . But finally got there and stepped into a peaceful oasis. Beautiful, on...More

This is a must see in Verona. San Zeno is the "people's church" and supposedly Romeo and Juliet were married here. The bronze doors are phenomenal. Do not miss!

If you love visiting churches, I would highly recommend visiting San Zeno Maggiore. They provide an audio tour and wraps for bare shoulders.

I am not a person who particularly enjoys visiting churches but on this occasion we bought a ticket to visit 4 churches. SAN Zeno was amazing. So beautiful.

This Basilica is the wonderfully preserved example of Romanesque architecture in Verona, built in present shape in the 11th century AD. Before that there were a number of other structures on the site, beginning with early Christian church near the Via Gallica, and then a...More

Architecturally the most interesting of Verona's churches. The crypt is down a halfflight of stairs from the main floor for the congregation while the alter is up a half flight.

Interesting for art and history and gave us an introduction into Verona's history. Remains of older churches and frescos to be seen plus beautiful cloisters.

What an exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained church. The audio tour was really informative and well-done. The bronze doors are magnificent, the murals are gorgeous even though faded in many places (after all, they do date from approximately the 13th century) and the overall effect of...More

Hi, you can find the ticket at the entrance and this include other churches too. The audio is inside the church, but you will find someone there very helpful. The tour is less than 1 hour but it worth. Enjoy it :)

At the entrance of the 4 historical churches of Verona there is a basket where you will find some kimono that you can put over naked shoulders or wear if you are dressed with pants or skirt too short. This is a free service.
