A worthy entrance to Piazza Bra and the Arena of Verona. It partly separates the vehicular and pedestrian areas of Verona.

This is a grand entry to the old city. The square as you walk in is beautiful with loads of restaurants and places to relax and take it the views.

Entering Verona from this gateway is impressive and awe inspiring. It would be easy to imagine medieval citizens walking alongside you as you go into the heart of Verona.

This gateway consists of two arches across Corsa Porta Nuova with walkway and battlements above and joins a pentagon tower. The gate dates to 1257 (or earlier) and joined a section of the old City walls at that time. The clock was installed in 1872.

As you enter the city centre and the cobbled square around the arena you pass under these arches which also feature a great clock.

You have to pass right through here to get to the arena. You can’t go on or in it. It is ok to look at, but not anything to write home about

It's not just a landmark. It is on the way from Piazza Bra to the train station. It is not worth a special visit.

Having walked up from the railway station, which is not far from the centre of verona, it was a nice way to enter piazza bra. I would not go out of my way to see it though.

Not really an attraction in my view but a nice entrance to the main city area. It is a nice archway.

Entering the main town area you pass under the arch, your first attraction before stepping back in time!
