From the exterior you would not have expected the blast of colour inside. A very pretty church and a lovely atmosphere.

This was my favorite of all the beautiful churches in Verona. Fresh white roses decorated the church, honoring the Virgin Mary. It was really breathtaking.

My partner and I visited this church during our stay in Verona. It was the first church I have ever walked into and thought 'wow' (and that was just looking at the beautiful ceiling!) We visited a few churches during our stay but this was absolutely my favourite. I have noticed people mentioning the entry cost for this. My partner... More

I went into Sant'Anastasia to avoid the rain and because I love Italian architecture but I was genuinely tantalised by its art,its sculptures and its whole atmosphere. I found it really interesting to read the various information panels next to each section or chapel. The Veronese graves and memorials were particularly fascinating and I loved the marble floor. An incredible... More

We gave a slight nod to this gothic church over the Romanesque San Zeno. Both are very beautiful in their own right, but the frescoes here are more interesting and overall the church has a bit more to see. See them both if you can! We rode bicycles from the city center to both and they are only about 10... More

I've been traveling around Europe for several months and thought that I had OD'd on churches and castles until I looked inside Sant'Anastasia in Verona. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen, with amazing art and historical significance. Be sure to include a visit here during your trip to Verona

Enjoyed this church, not as touristy as the others and has an absolutely amazing ceiling that warrants a few minutes of appreciation. It also seems to be more serene that San Zeno, which would appeal to many.

A must visit in Verona. Entrance is currently €2.50 and worth it. For €6 you can purchase a multiple ticket for four churches, this ticket remains valid for over one year, so a good reason to make another visit.

We really liked it most for its spectacular interior (the ceiling in particular). The famous Pisanello's fresco is a bit high up to be fully appreciated, but there is a camera with a TV screen showing it better.
