We weren't sure what to expect when we decided to enter the Basilica (despite the tariff.) But it was well worth it to us. We were there at a time when the cafe was not open but we were able to walk around the cafe...More

How this place is not more famous in Italy is beyond me. The tall tower and the lovely white palace front two squares in the center of the old city. It is virtually devoid of tourists.

Museum and art place, historic Palladio building, the place you must see in vicenza. There's the guided visit, cheap. On the top terase know's to be the bar and magnificent view onto the city and surroundings. Worth to come on top.

You have to pay an entrance fee to get access to the rooftop bar of the Basilica, but then you can visit the enterior of the building which has huge wooden roof that looks like a reversed boat (nice!).
