One of the best examples of good Renaissance architecture you can find, at a walking distance from Vicenza -about a thirty-minute walk or less from the station-. La Rotonda is harmonious and big -but not huge-. Unfortunately only the gardens and the ground floor of...More

Beatiful Palladian villa, with wonderful unique decorations and garden around. It is a must see point if you are looking for architectural jems Although i would expect the villa's gift shop to be a bit more appealing.

Here we saw a special architecture, and if you are a passionate person in this field, you do not have to miss this place. However, the outside is also extremely beautiful. I recommend it!

First saw a picture of this villa forty years ago. It does not disappoint. Simply sensational. Palladio's masterpiece is beautifully presented, and just takes your breath away

I have come to love the Paladio style. It is so simple yet stunning; it is eminently zen in its perfect proportions. I could have stayed in the garden forever, slowly pacing the parameter, admiring the statuary, taking pictures of roses on old stone walls.

Depending on how much you like walking you may walk the distance of about the two miles mentioned above, but if you are a family I would prefer taking a taxi to La Rotunda. Remember to see the opening hours for the inside of... More
