This coastal promenade is considered one of Italy's longest. But, like any other seaside community's walk along the sea shore, there are some things that you need to consider - smells, sights and squawking birds included. It's also busy, especially at night and noisy, almost all the time.
Alongside part of the promenade, people were sunbathing on rocks and large boulders - there was really no sand. It's an interesting walk that for some reason has become bigger than it actually is.

Superb early morning jog. Before 07.15 there are very few cars, the parking lots are free and there are many little bars or pastry shops where you can stop to rest or for a coffee. It's also nice to have a look at the fishermen preparing their feasts upon returning from their night-time fishing. At the seaside roundabout I also met a small group of people doing gymnastics together.

A walk along the seafront of the beautiful city of Bari is unmissable. We saw it on a cool January morning, but I can only imagine what summer evening walks might be like, admiring the lights and smelling the scent of the sea. Really nice

This is the city shore. During the night, the light makes it very special to see the old buildings, ocean and boats. It is a place to stroll, during the summer time it might be too hot to just stroll around, so save it for the nights. FREE and recommended.

Bari's Lungomare is one of Italy's longest seaside promenades.
It stretches all around the old town, as well north and south of it. It's pleasant to walk it seeing local's every day life - people fishing, sunbathing or chatting on the rocks along it. Nice city views from several spots along it.

Definitely a fairy tale!
Beautiful romantic waterfront!
You have to travel it, live it and admire it….
It remains unforgettable as a walk and a panorama. Numerous benches on which to stop and get lost in the sea….

Bari is a beautiful Italian town, but it takes time to fully understand its friendly nature.. The waterfront (lungomare) can help you achieve it. Take a chance on Bari!

Bari, is the capital of Puglia in the south of Italy.... the heel of the boot.
It has a lovely water front walk along the walls of the old city near the swabian castle. The modern part of the city has many old buildings peppered throughout . Lovely architecture. The Basilica of San Nicola is very beautiful. Lots of restaurants and good shopping make this town a good destination for a day trip.

It's highly suggested to take a walk along the waterfront (Viale Venezia), on the top of the old city walls, which passes by the Fortino of Saint Antony (an old fort recently turned into a modern art gallery) and the former Monastery of Saint Scolastica.

Bari is a "bellissima" city as they say into Italian language . Murat quarters are very nice. Lots of shops, cafés, restaurants and tipical food.
Few blocks from Murat streets you can walk to Lungomare for a relaxing promenade.
Lungomare is fabulous and crowded of local people and tourists.
We move by bus, comfortable and very cheap. People are so friendly and helpful. Weather always sunny.
We'll surely come back soon!
