Imposing tower

Located in Largo San Francesco this is another of Algerho's defensive towers. They hold occasional exhibitions here but none on at the time visited that i could see of any interest.

Thick tower

Sept 2019

This impressive tower was built in the 16th century and is now used to stage temporary exhibitions. It has a thick-set structure and has a circumference of 60m and walls which are 4.3m thick. There was a red coral like structure around it when we visited.

Interesting decoration

This tower at the entrance of the Old City is just one out of the seven well-preserved medieval towers that you can find scattered in the old quarter of Alghero.These days it is decorated by local artists with something resembling a "web" of corals - it cannot go unnoticed! : )

Huge construction but nothing interesting

The tower has huge construction but nothing interesting to offer. No possibility to enter in or any information about the history. Would be nice if local authorities would invest a bit in the information about history of tower, it would be much more interesting from sightseeing point of view

Massive tower, part of the old defence system of the city.
Nowdays they planted something in front of it which looks like corals, which are famous along this shore.
Especially great at night when it's in full red glow.

Massive tower

Great example in a main square

Our group y=used this tower, opposite the bank, as a point of reference when exploring Alghero. Another fine example of a defensive tower (Tower of Saint John) which was currently bing used to display an art exhibit.

Nice place to have walk around finding hidden cafes and some nice shops with branded products to make a holiday more comfortable for adults

This is one of the 3 towers left of the old city fortifications. It sits in the middle of a square and looks very impressive, especially at night.
