Sardinia is really nice to visit during summer. For me this was a perfect holiday (good food, good company). Torre itself is nice in the sunset and in the evening, when the temperature is a bit cooler. I really enjoy it and would definitively go back.

When in Alghero you should definitely stroll along the promenade. The view is amazing and if you're lucky you might even see dolphins. There are also a lot of nice restaurants where you can enjoy lunch or dinner with a perfect sunset view!

We second the golden hour comment. If you go around 1500 you'll leave with some of the best pictures anywhere - and we've been lots of picturesque places. Off season so not a lot of hissed and bussel, but still fun and beautiful. It appears they are redirecting access to the water, but further down we found a place.

It is pleasant to launch in Alghero, no major attractions that simply must be checked off. Then you can be a little concerned by the garbage lying here and there.

I think this is a great place to eat, drink, run and walk. I love the view and that peaceful feeling that this place gives. It surrounded by Catalan History and at the same time you have a gorgeous Capocaccia's view.

Wonderful place for a walk. The best time it's the golden hour ;) One of the towers of Alghero's fortified town wall. Built in the 16th century reaches a height off 30 metres above sea level. It's better known as the "Torre Sulis", named after the revolutionary Vincenzo Sulis, inhabitant of Cagliari. After riots against the French army towards the... More
