Within the port of Cagliari, Portus Karalis is a stone's throw from the city center, many services and major tourist attractions. Two large docks make it capable of hosting yachts and superyachts. My family and I walked round and were impressed with the marina.

The port is pretty to see because in front of it there is a fairly wide strip reserved for pedestrians. The only problem is to cross the road to get to the city because there are works. On the port, you can see mainly sailing boats but also cruise ships. Well liked because the avenue of the port being very long, it is a pleasant walk under the sun.

There are three marinas in Cagliari to choose from. Porto Karalis in our opinion is in the best location as it is right in the city and what's more you are in a Port that has been in use for at least 2000 years. The team who look after the berths are excellent and will help with any query you may have.

This is a lovely part of Cagliari. To do it justice you need to be on a boat (there are boat companies that do short excursions, like compagniadelleonde.com. It’s great to walk about and there are lots of little restaurants and ice cream places

Easy walking distance from old town and shops. Most of the city buses can be caught on the adjacent road and railway station is 5 minutes walk. Marina staff are friendly but showers are poky and only one toilet for marina users.

If you don't mind the noise from the city, it's very practical, very close to a good coffee in the morning, and very close to the interesting city center of Cagliari, as well as other commodities, shops, restaurants, places to visit, car ans scooter rental, ...At the time, the showers and toilets were really not up to what you expect in this kind of marinas, but we understand they are building new ones. Mooring assistance and staff OK.

Having sailing south along the west coast of Sardinia from Isola Rossa in Trinità di Gallura on a journey circumnavigating the island, Cagliari was on our list of stops. We sailed in from an afternoon anchor at Pula which is a great spot and only a couple of hours by sail around from Cagliari. We initially booked into Marina del sole in Cagliari and had a night there, but it wasn’t for us!
So the next day we moved to Marina Portia Karalis, perfectly situated in the centre , with a great modern, clean feeling marina. There’s a swanky bar/restaurant overlooking it and literally 2 minutes walking to the town. The staff are very accommodating, having arranged an electrician, laundry collection and ironing, recommended restaurants, supermarket delivery to the boat and keeping a general eye on us. Really top marks!

This colorful harbor is the closest to the city center. You will see a collection of small boats, yachts, and ferries.
