If you’re planning a visit to the Archeological museum in Cagliari then more then likely you went walk through this gate on your way. It’s very close. Interesting but don’t make a special trip..unless you love old gates

This is one of the gates via which you can enter the old city, which is the castle area of Cagliari. From outside the gate you can get views over the city. Inside you are heading into the narrow streets of the old town.

Another old gate leading to the city - there is a table with description in Italian and English near the gate so you can learn a bit more about the history of this place.

One of two gates into Piazza Arsenale. From there you can enter the old city.
It you come up this way you will have some great views of the city and the harbor.

Ancient gateway to the fortified city, it dates back to the nineteenth century when the King of Sardinia Carlo Felice of Savoy decreed its execution.

Gateway to the fortified castle district, from whose square in front it is possible to see the port and part of the city.
