An interesting crypt that was built then expanded over the last 2.5 thousand years. We were lucky to meet someone who explained some of the less obvious features, but even without a guide, it makes for an interesting visit. It was free, but hours are limited. Some people walk through in 5-10 minutes, others spent up to 30 minutes.

From the locked church above and the small not particularly well advertised side door to the crypt you have no idea what awaits you.
Under the church is a stunning space that has been used for a variety of purposes over the years. During WWII it was a a shelter and home for those who lost their houses.
It is a wonderful and completely unexpected space, and with free entry to boot.

We weren't sure that we wanted to see this but it was one of the highlight of our trip. Spooky but we loved it. We were the only ones there. In the church next door / above they had a service with beautiful singing which we could hear while making our way through the caves. Loved it!

It took me a little bit to find the exact entrance to this church crypt, but once I got there, it did not really take too long to visit, as it really is not a big place. It was included in my combined ticket and it was interesting, so it's worth taking a look when in the area.

This is a very very old crypt, completely different to the one in the Cathedral. It is more like a cave with a few dark passages that you can walk down but they lead nowhere. It is quite damp and eerie, very historic. The ceiling in the main part is very high so it is not claustrophobic. It is quite small and took us 15 minutes to walk around. It is free to get in but closes at 1pm so go early!!

This is a free attraction to go in the heart of the city. The caves are bigger than you would expect. They are very spooky well worth a quick visit

opens 10am to 01pm. Free. Going down steps to history. Nothing much to see. You will be disappointed if you want to find a baroque design. It's a crypt carved in the rock. But history is there… You can just feel it. Don't forget to read the presentation outside before going down
