A glorious baroque church. Seems to be open early and late but not during the day. The Sacristy is the best room in the city, wonderful rococco decorations, its at the back, access through the ante sacristy at the back left. Don't miss it.

This is a good place to visit because it's an ancient, yet well-preserved, church. The interior is even better than the façade. Unfortunately, there's lots of people near-by from tourists to annoying commerciants.

One of the smaller churches in town, but very well kept and with historic significance. If you like to visit churches, don't miss it.

The interior of this church is just gorgeous! And there are many floors (like, half-levels) so be warned if you have a tough time navigating stairs. It was crowded when we went so getting around was a little tough. A must for history-lovers.

As with most of Italy, pretty uninspiring from the outside, but once inside WOW !!. Floor to ceiling in marble. You can certainly see why the Catholic church is so wealthy.

This unassuming looking church houses amazing ceiling paintings and marble statues and the sacristy below has walls covered with icon like painted saints. A wealthy contrast to some of the neighbouring streets.

If you like to visit churches, don't miss this beautiful and unusual rococo gem in Stampace. Note the 4-columned pulpit from which the Emperor Charles V spoke in 1538; it's in the portico as you enter this hexagonal church at right angles.

San Michele is located at the end of via Azuni, 5min walk from Piazza Yenne and seems to be a more prosperous church, otherwise would not have so many beggars in front of it disturbing the beauty and calm of the church. Inside, the church...More
