The Gorge landscapes from the top are very beautiful. After that we can go down and walk inside the gorge.

The gorge is a great place to walk and take a dip in the cool water. Great for pictures also. The sun seems to bounce off the rock giving the place perfect photo backdrops.

Such a beautiful place to see. A must do on a trip to Sicily. The water is very cold, so don't stay in it too long! The walls of the gorge are unlike anything I've seen before. There are small beaches to sit on for...More

Very nice views of the surrounding landscape, as had been expected after reading the reviews here. We got some tickets to use the stairway - approx 200 stairs (Eur 1,50 rather than Eur 12 for the lift - which would a good option anyway for...More

We travelled by bus from Taramina bus station, only 5 euro return. To enter the gorge it costs 8 euros for seniors, otherwise 10 Europe's, take a towel as you might want to walk through the water as there is a "beach" at the bottom...More

If you read the reviews as I did, you will be misled - it's fantastic! Well worth paying for the car park (felt very safe leaving ALL our stuff), the lovely botanic gardens, the walkways, the canteen (with fabulous ice cream) and the lift. Btw...More

the natural gorge is spectacular with pools and gushing waterfalls between weird rock formations, but the hype of picnic areas, walks among special plant species, glamping etc is unwarranted and wrong. Unless you are incapacitated or very unfit, the lift ticket is a rip off,...More

This is a nice place for a short walk. If you do not want to walk through the garden (with nice views down to the river), just buy a cheaper ticket. With a cheaper ticket you can only go down to the river, which is...More

It is, there are lifts to the bottom. However, it is a gorge and I guess there is only so much you can see with a pushchair. You could carry your child once at the bottom but would have to leave the pushchair somewhere. I... More
