My daughter and I used Mimmo Sicily Tours for a transfer and custom half day tour from the Catania Airport with drop off at our Catania Hotel. We lived in Sicily many years ago, and we wanted to visit our old neighborhood, her schools, favorite Pasticceria's, restaurants, parks, and other locations from her childhood. Because we knew where we wanted to go, and it was not a typical tour, we chose to reserve "just" a driver and not a guide. But we got WAY more than a driver. Alex (Alessandro - but goes by Alex) was phenomenal. He understood the personal and once-in-a-lifetime nature of this tour and made it better than we could have imagined. He was able to obtain access to places we didn't think we could go, and his connections with the community ensured that our tour was perfect in every way. We cannot thank Mimmo Sicily Tours--and especially Alex--enough. You have given us memories for a lifetime and brought to life my daughter's childhood in Sicily. We will most definitely us them again when we return. You cannot go wrong with Mimmo Sicily Tours.

My husband and I are in our mid-seventies, so even though we live and drive in Europe, the thought of tackling the backroads of Sicily ourselves was a non-starter. We did our research and found Mimmo Sicily Tours. Mimmo did not disappoint. We had a grand time touring the island, meeting some locals, seeing unusual places, eating great food,and hearing Sicilian stories which we would never have experienced by ourselves. Mimmo never failed to be considerate, on time and flexible to solve any last minute wishes or changes. Like all the comments from his clientele, Mimmo has a wealth of knowledge of all things Sicilian and takes excellent care of his customers.

My husband and I booked with Mimmo Sicily Tours after reading his many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Our tour of Sicily was with Mimmo himself, and his reputation is well deserved. He provided us with a fabulous 4-day trip that was perfect for what we wished to see around the island — from Siracusa, to Sciacca, to Palermo and points in between. He has a great personality and quickly figured out what we would most enjoy experiencing. He was perfect. His knowledge, and insightful explanations of the history of what we were seeing, as well as social aspects, both historic and current, were very valuable. All that in addition to the ancient sights and the magnificent scenery, and he did all the driving! We give him our highest recommendation.

We were really impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and skill of our driver/guide Domenico. The Mercedes van was so comfortable with big windows allowing for great visibility of the beautiful Sicilian countryside. Best of all we could both enjoy the trip so although it was not cheap we felt it was really valuable.

Two of us had a fabulous trip for a week with Mimmo who had a wonderful, dry sense of humor, very educational, a great and safe driver, and more than happy to show us all sorts of interesting places/restaurants off the beaten path as we toured around Sicily. From the moment he picked us up at the airport we knew we were in great hands. We learned a lot about life in Sicily, Italy more generally, and had many interesting discussions about the differences and similarities between cultures. We feel that we now have a friend in Sicily who will always look out for us. The Mercedes was immaculate and there is NO WAY we would have been comfortable driving ourselves in the tiny, twisty Sicilian roads with motorcycles and pedestrians all over everywhere. Mimmo made our trip and we are really grateful that we found him. Let him make the suggestions on where to go and eat and you will be happy!

I have never written a review before and always preferred to keep my opinions private. Well this rule has now been broken. To be brief, my wife and I took a 14 day vacation to Sicily. We hired Mimmo to drive us around Sicily touring 4 of the major cities we chose. Hiring Mimmo was the best decision we made from years of traveling. We received a lot more than an excellent driver. We found Mimmo to be the nicest, professional and historically knowledgable person you can imagine. He was the "icing on the cake" from an amazing visit to Sicily. Grazie Amico!

Mimmo helped our group of 12 have an awesome experience in Agrigento and with an olive oil tasting. We arrived into the Port on cruise ship and hired Mimmo to be our driver and guide. He promptly picked us up at the port and we set off for Agrigento to see the Valley of the Temples in his comfortable Mercedes SUV's. The length of the tour at Valley of the Temples was perfect, we had our own guide, he was raised in Florida so had a true American/Italian way about him and knew we did not need to know everything about the history of the place. It is beautiful and stunning and we spent no more than 2 hours there - which was perfect. Then we went about 40 minutes away to an olive oil producer and watched harvest and had a tasting and delicious meal - truly a highlight. I hope he offers this as a regular tour - it was a wonderful experience. Our group was between the ages of 50 and 85 and there is a lot of walking over rough terrain in the Valley of the Temples and in the Olive tree orchard. A great experience and a highlight of our Sicily Trip.

We had an outstanding time in Sicily. I attribute a large reason was our guide, Mimmo. Mimmo’s historical knowledge is outstanding and if possible his driving was also incredible. We toured in his Mercedes SUV. Extremely comfortable and a great ride. The way Mimmo navigated the small streets in all the towns was to be marveled.
He took us to places and restaurants that we not even on our itinerary but places that he knew from all his experiences. I just wish I could have this kind of person lead me on all my travels.

Mimmo is, by far, the most outstanding tour guide we have ever had. He's knowledgeable, thorough, personable, funny, and he took us to the places 'off the beaten path' for meals and sightseeing--not to the touristy spots! We would book with Mimmo again in a heartbeat!

We are a group 2 couples. What would the cost be of a 6 day tour of the island? Do you charge per person or per group? I found a great B & B in Taormina but would that location work for the full 6 days or would you suggest we move at the 1/2 way point in the tour?

Day Trips and Shore Excursions have different prices, depending where they’re starting from. A Multi day tour has other prices as well. If you have an idea what you would like to do, I will be able to be more precise.
