Very lovely family that greets you at the front door when you arrive. Then we went to the backyard where they have an outdoor kitchen that was really nice. We got introduced to what we were going to do with a serving of Aperol. Then we started cooking five meals with seafood and regular meat if you were not into seafood. While we were cooking he gave us history lessons about Sicily and their food and explained how to see the difference between good and bad food in the market. Then we got a lovely glass of wine (or a little more than a glass) while we were eating. We ended things with some ice cream with a limoncello.

My husband and I recently joined another couple for a very pleasant evening at Antonio's home. We had arranged transport in advance which made for a worry-free experience. After a meet-and-greet drink with the other guests and Antonio and his family, we assisted in the dinner preparation - cutting and chopping, chatting and sipping wine, and learning about Sicilian food and life in general. The communal dinner at the end was lots of fun. This was a great way to cap off our trip, and we would highly recommend Antonio's cooking class to travellers to the area.

A tonilo and his family were so welcoming and skillful. The food was great. Bruschetta, mussels, pasta, swordfish and eggplant. He accommodated us vegetarians while preparing a wide ranging meal. A fun night. Recipes to come I appreciated his emphasis on cooking what appeals to you. A slice of upscale Palermo life. Thank you.

We booked our cooking class with Antonio and was so glad we did. Antonio picked us up at our our place in Palermo and we were greeted by his lovely wife Lory and energetic and sweet dog Romeo. We had one other guest join the dinner Daniel from Australia. We were handed aprons and off we went to chop and prepare. The wine was soon flowing and the stories and laughter along with learning the preparation of the meal continued throughout the evening. We started with brueschetta, then moved on to mussels, pasta and stuffed swordfish. As we sat to eat each portion Antonio and his wife made us all feel like we were part of the family sitting around their table. Antonio has many funny stories to share with everyone making the entire experience a full enjoyment. The evening ended with desert and a shot of lemincello. The time went by so quickly and before we knew it Antiono drive us back to our place in Palermo. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Great cooking class with Antonio and new friends from the Netherlands, Australia and France. We made bruschetta, seafood pasta and a seafood secondi piatti and Antonio made dessert beforehand. Antonio is fun, he gives lots of chances for students to work at prepping the seafood that came fresh from the sea. My kids loved prepping the calamari and shrimp!!! Would recommend this class for families. His wife and sister in law were also great. Thanks for the great experience and inviting us in your home!! We had great fun

Where do I begin? Antonio messaged me because maybe Sunday wasn’t the best day, but we had no other available time, so he said let’s go ahead. I am so glad we did! This was truly one of the most terrific experiences that i have had.
The whole family gets involved, Lory his wife and Salvo and Ginevra, his son and his daughter. They are a wonderful family, I enjoyed so much talking to them, and hearing about their lives and plans.
The food we cooked was simple and delicious, Antonio says the most important things is the goods are good! We started with Bruschetta and then had muscles and stuffed swordfish. All cooked (sort of with a lot of help) by us. This is a cant miss activity. One of the best evenings, and definitely the best food!

We’re not finished with our trip yet but we’re pretty sure Antonio’s cooking class is going to be the highlight of this trip and actually probably several others.
Yes, Antonio is a wonderful chef. Yes, he’s a great teacher. And yes, he is a great host.
But none of that really tells the tale. Just think of the best party you ever went to, but the cook let all the guests into the kitchen to help him cook, and all those guests from all over the world interacted, exchanged stories and bonded by the end of the evening and still you won’t quite capture it, but that will be a start.

What a great time we had with Antonio, his wife Lory, and children Salvo and Gini! They picked up our party of four near Belmont Square and we were thrilled not to drive any more in Palermo. After arriving at their lovely home in the hills, we met Romeo, their crazy, sweet dog, and got to know our fellow guests, four women from Hawaii. Wine was served, aprons passed, and we got busy chopping, under Antonio's entertaining supervision. Before the night was over we helped prepare and eat a delicious bruschetta, pasta with fresh cooked muscles, and superb stuffed swordfish "kebabs" with limes and oranges. Antonio is a man with a million funny stories and is a talented chef and teacher. I highly recommend a visit to his home, especially if you enjoy delicious food and a social atmosphere. Go hungry!

We did a cooking class with Antonio today and absolutely had the best time ever!! He and his wife, sister in law and nephew were all helping to give us the most incredible experience we had so far while being in Sicily. We had so much fun with Antonio and his family and the other guests (a family, two friends and someone who traveled by himself; it’s perfect no matter in what company you travel), time flew by. I can not possibly recommend this cooking class more. It’s so much more than just a cooking class. We experienced a real warm Sicilian household, ate and drank the best food we had in a very long time, gained some great cooking experience and laughed and shared stories all night. We felt right at home with Antonio, and it felt like dinner and cooking with family. We agree that this was our best vacation-experience in Italy all summer; long story short: go for this cooking class you will definitely not regret it!!

This is not just a cooking class, it is much more.
We were met by Antonio and his son and driven to his house, whilst taking in the sights of Palermo. On arrival at his house we were greeted by his family who also contributed to the whole experience.
We cooked a number of delicious and quite simple dishes, which we will definitely try to cook at home and learned a few helpful tricks about Italian cooking.
Lively discussions, and drinks augment the cooking activities which culminate in several sittings with the family to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Definitely recommend!
