Beautiful structure even when only viewed from the outside. Adjacent to a nice piazza. Come here and take some photos. Rent one of the electric scooters and it's an easy way to get from piazza to piazza

Not as impressive as Massimo, but still worth a visit (though you can only go inside if you have tickets for a show).

We were staying in the area near this beautiful theatre. We only saw it from the outside but it is absolutely stunning.

It is set at the back of a square so you get lovely lines of sight to it and one of the main roads in Palermo runs right by it.

Great theatre and a very architectural building. We walked round it 3 times just to be able to see everything

Situated in a large and busy square, this Neoclassical building is the second largest theatre in Palermo after the Teatro Massimo and is home to the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. The beautiful building is topped with the bronze chariot of Apollo pulled by 4 horses above a triumphal arch. We didn't go inside as we were in the area in the evening when there was a concert on but you can visit during the day.

Went to buy a ticket for the tour. Two cashiers, one is helping a customer. The other is at her window on the computer. I stand at the window she refuses to look up. I ask “Are you open” . She says “ what do you want?” I tell her I want two tickets and she sells them to us, the whole time giving you the impression we are bothering her.
The girl who did the tour was just going through the motions. Who is managing this place?

Set on a square, just off a busy boulevard, this is yet another specimen of Baroque beauty in Palermo. Visit from the outside.

This is a lovely building, that somehow, despite its size, doesn't overly dominate the square but is subtle and restrained.

Wonderful Palermo, the Sicily island capital. The historical downtown is rich of monuments and attractions. The Politeama theater is one of my favorite.

It is a beautiful structure right in the middle of the city. Very impressive from the outside. Unfortunately, we did not visit the inside.
