Was anticipating something a bit more impressive than it is. Told to us by tourist information that it is 'lovely for children'. Well lovely in that it has an amusement park inside with rides that you pay for. The gardens themselves are ok in that...More

Some parts of the garden is nicely kept. The other parts are not. For example there is a greenause with broken glasses and no plants, but litter inside. In a garden I expect more green field and less asphalt.

A beautiful garden, just what you need on a hot day of August. Many sculptures and statues, a large fountain, all encircling the largest fig I have ever seen (Ficus macrophylla) with huge aerial roots and many people resting under its shadow. There's a cafe...More

The Giardino Inglese is a nicely organized place. With a lovely cafe in the middle where you can buy amazing le cremolose. But nothing particularly amazing in that place. Perfect for lazy Sunday in Palermo.

We took a stroll along here as it was on our map and it was around 11am, nice and quiet and full of people with young children playing. Pond was a bit rotten but nice otherwise.

Compared to the Botanical Gardens this park is better maintained. It is a lovely quiet spot in the city and is used by locals for their own sanctuary. There is incredible statuary by Rutelli which is frequently overlooked by the guide books. There is no...More

The English Garden in Palermo [Giardino Inglese] is located between Via della Liberta and Via Gen dalla Chiesa, being a significant walk from my hotel near Piazza Gulia Cesare [station square]. The gardens are mainly large trees and shrubs, but with expansive hard-paved areas. I...More

This was a lovely quiet place to sit and read in the centre of Palermo and seemed better kept than the Botanic Gardens and no entrance fee! Well used by various groups of the community with a cafe in the centre. Lots of bus routes...More

There isn't much to say about this small park, but it certainly is a nice spot to rest after exploring Palermo by foot. There are several large, interesting trees, and some water features to look at. As a tourist destination, it doesn't really offer much....More
