A great piece of Art originally made for a hospital. When you entered, you where remonded of the fact, that death makes no difference between the rich and the poor. Wonderful compositon, the whole museum is a great place to discover. A must for art lovers!

You can't miss it: it is possible to view it from the ground floor as well as from the 2nd floor viewing gallery. It inspires awe and a feeling of hopelessness.

8 euro is a trap just to see this piece. Palazzo Abatellis is not worth a visit , it's not curated and there is not so much to see.

I'm not entirely sure why this one fresco gets its own entry since it's in the Palazzo Abatellis and just a part of their display. Still it's an impressive fresco of the pale rider and all his victims, at least 4 metres square.

In this huge fresco - sadly damaged but no less impressive for that - Death gallops in gleeful triumph over the corpses of the rich and powerful, reduced to the level of the poorest by war and plague. You can view it as you come in to the palazzo, and you can also sit and view it from upstairs. The whole collection is worth seeing, and manageable in size.

You have to pay to go in this museum, I think it was 8 euros. half the building was closed off so very disappointing. The only thing worth seeing, in my opinion, is this piece. I would not have bothered if I had known it was all going to be unavailable. They have a nerve not reducing the price.

This enormous piece of art you find in Palazzo Abatellis. Only for this 15th century work it is worth to visit this museum. But there are many other great works to admire. For instance the world famous Virgin Annunciate of Antonello da Messina. So go and visit this great museum.

A wonderful museum, very interesting way to exhibit pieces of art - sculptures are positioned back first so you need to walt around them if you want to see the front. Really original.

Trionfo della morte gives you an interesting perspective on death. Worth contemplating.
