Sicily was the second stop on a Mediterranean cruise. It was interesting to go here and see older people dressed up in suit and drinking espresso at 11:00 am around the town square. Rich in history dating back thousands of years was a good visit.

Go and see Antonello Da Messina's work...the annunziato...ie "after the Annunciation"...this painting is easily on a par with or exceeds the Mona Lisa.....She has just seen and discoursed with an entity from the 5th dimension...the information is of significance to the whole human race...past present...More

The rooms are on three floors (ground, 1st, 2nd), with the ground and the 1st floor being the most interesting ones. You may buy a combo-ticket allowing you to visit Castello della Zisa or San Giovanni degli Eremitani cloister within 3 days. The "death's triumph"...More

Beautiful building full of very special medieval paintings,frescoes and sculptures. The Triumph of Death alone is worth the entry fee. Good explanations in English in each room but it would have been useful to have been able to buy a more detailed guide book.
