A bit long but great to explore the sights

The tour was really great! It was about 2.5-3 hours, which got to be a bit long by the end but I am not sure how they would cut it shorter since there is so much to see! You dont... read more

We applied for the tour few weeks ahead. After some time we received e-mail saying that the tour is not a guaranteed and it only runs when the right number of participants apply. We were invited to pre book their private service. As we were using free walking tours in many European cities, we were expecting the same treatment. If... More

The tour was really great! It was about 2.5-3 hours, which got to be a bit long by the end but I am not sure how they would cut it shorter since there is so much to see! You dont get to go inside any of the cathedrals or buildings that you walk by, but the tour guide is really... More

We were among the first customers in this rainy day in March in Palermo to experiment the walking guided tour since the service had just started. We chose the itinerary that goes to the Norman Palace with parts of the old markets. Our guide in French (Francesca? )was dynamic, agreeable and had a huge knowledge. The tour was great, though... We did a tour to Corleone and Ficuzze and Agrigento to the Valley of the Temples. We had a wonderful and so informative guide called Stefano. He made the tour so interesting with all his facts about all the places we visited. Young student but very proud of his Island. He made the day for us. Any question we had... More

I found this free walking tour of Palermo on Tripadvisor, not from the Tourist Information Centre. By email we arranged to meet at the historic intersection of Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda - called Quattro Canti (Four Corners). This is at the heart of Palermo with the Town Hall and Archives, the Cathedral and the best of the street... More

On arriving in Sicily, I wandered through the streets of Palermo on my own and enjoyed all of the churches, architecture and other sites I happened upon, but I did not understand the history beyond it all. As I wanted to know more, I decided to find a guided tour. After finding Don Saro through TripAdvisor, he told me of... More

We met Saro for one of his free walking tours, and were the only ones to attend so turned out to be a personalised afternoon exploration of the city. Originally from Palermo, but having spent the last 13 years in the UK, it was great having a local show us around the old town and give us an insight into... More

I pre-booked this activity well before the event, after experiencing Free Walking Tours in other cities. Imagine my surprise when Don Saro arrived punctually at 9:00am, as arranged, and then realising that his time was dedicated to just the two of us for 2 hours as we walked the length and breadth of Palermo. Actually, the tour went a little... More

Palermo is very nice place to visit. It would be more nice if you go to see sights with a good tour guide. While I was visiting Palermo I was with a very good tour guide his name is Don Saro. He is very good, helpful and friendly. He helped me a lot to stay there and go outside. He... More
