After the hustle and bustle of Sicilian cities this is a lovely relaxing and quiet area to visit with forests and mountains and cows with bells on! The roads are about the norm for rural Sicily but the traffic is light so driving is easy....More

We visited Parco delle Madonie in Spring. Flowers everywhere. Beautiful medieval villages on the top of the hills. Quiet, not may tourist. We made long walks, for example from Caragi Siculo to Petralia Sottana. Beautiful walk, lots of scenic variety.

Go there! Nature in madonie park is Beautiful. Great hiking, Nice villages. Try for example the piano pomo trail.

We drove from Milazzo down to Enna through the Parc and it was stunning. The road quality is very poor so take it steady but it is spectacular.
