About
The palazzo is in the center of the old city only a few steps away from the Norman Palace. the Cathedral and the Market Ballarò. The oldest part of the palace is an Arab-Norman Tower of the 12th century. You can observe verious architectural styles, high painted ceilings of the 15th century, baroque ceiling frescoes by Vito D'Anna and Gaspare Serenario, various collections and original furniture. Since Count Federico's family, which can be followed back to the Hohenstaufen Emperor Friedrich II, has lived in this palace for centuries, the personal atmosphere makes a visit to this historical building a unique experience.

Great experience
This is a real one of a kind experience in Palermo, and I would highly recommend. The house is packed full of history and you are met and shown round by the brothers who live their, the 16th generation of their family (I think that’s right). The house has history from across the centuries and has been lovingly restored and kept. The knowledge that they had of the house and the history is so vast and there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions around prices that are of interest to you. Well worth a visit!

Best historical house tour I’ve ever done!
Sep. 2020 • Solo
Hands-down the best historical house tour I’ve been on, and I’ve done many! The Palazzo is extraordinarily beautiful and well-maintained. Especially fantastic is the peek of the old painted ceilings.

The tour includes both historic details and personal details about the family. My tour guide was the younger son and the older son sold my ticket. Both were very friendly, unassuming, and warm. I really enjoyed the tour. If you are in Sicily, make a trip to Palermo and see the Palazzo!

Unmissable place in Palermo
Beautiful palace with very particular rooms: floors and roofs were very characteristic. Magnificent tower with Norman and Aragonese architectural elements.
Guided tour with a member of the family that explains the whole place.

The fact that the tour is very personal makes it rememberable. Besides the history offcourse and the beauty of it all.

Meet a real countess in a beautiful Sicilian palace
Sep. 2019
This was one of dozens of stops on our Rick Steves' Sicilian tour. Not only was our tour guide Countess Alwine Federico, she served us vino and other libations in one of the dozens of elegant rooms in one of the oldest buildings in Palermo, dating back to the 12th century.

Nicolo was awesome!
Enjoyed the 1 hour tour around this house, full of history and beautiful spaces. My favourite part was our guide, Nicolo, who had such a lovely energy and so much enthusiasm and passion for the place. He is one of the family who live there and his love for the place comes through. I learnt a lot about Sicily’s history as well. Highly recommend

Fantastic

We visited the palazzo after being invited in to look at the racing car initially. Booked the tour for 6 ladies, it was the best spent €10 each.
We were shown around the family who was very knowledgeable about the history of the house , a real real hidden gem.
If you’re interested in the Grand Prix this Is an absolute must, as a family winner back in the day

This was one of the highlights of our trip 😄
