This dates back to the 19th century and is an amazing theatre. Views from the roof are incredible. I loved the piazza in front as well. Wonderful photo op.

We took the tour around the place including to the roof. Our guide was very knowledgeable and this was one interesting tour. Make sure you do the roof bit the views from up there are the best and better than from the cathedral

Another must see in Palermo! This building is unveliable. Also this place is vey busy, so be aware of pickpockets!

it took them twenty five years of reconstruction that returned this theater to its original splendor, you cannot go to Palermo without seeing one of its most valuable attractions. It is worth visiting at night too.

Beautiful building on a charming piazza. Guided tour of the theater (8Euro), including sitting in the royal box. It is quite amazing that such an extravagant theater could have been built in Palermo.

This is a nice and easy stop. The tour is quite short, thirty minutes or so, and is a bit uninspired, but sitting near the stage on the main floor and in the front row of the Royal Box (with plenty of time for pictures)...More
